On Tuesday, Montenegrin president Filip Vujanovic told at a news conference of Russian media men about the necessity of creating favorable conditions for Russian companies’ investment in his country’s economy.
”We are interested in building long-term relations with Russia and raising investments in the country’s economy. The number of Russians coming to Montenegro has been increasing with every year passing, they buy land plots on our territory to have the rest and also to invest in the tourist infrastructure,” he said.
The chief measures taken by the government to attract Russian investors in Montenegro were the legislative approval of foreign citizens’ property rights, creation of the simplified model of privatization, provision for favorable conditions in municipal districts and easing of the regime of getting approvals for construction.
Among Russian companies implementing Montenegro’s largest investment projects, President Vujanovic underlined the MIRAX GROUP corporation’s special contribution: it would not only complete the construction of the first stage of the club city of Astra Montenegro which would become a new visual symbol of Montenegro early in the summer, but also invest funds in the development of the nation’s tourist infrastructure.
President Vujanovic said: “The presence of the Russian investors on the market facilitates the economic growth of the country on the whole. The contribution of the MIRAX GROUP corporation is one of the most important for the development of the tourist infrastructure of Montenegro”.
